👤 This article is for Hub or Tenant Administrators.

What is the Introductions Notification Schedule?

10KC's Introductions Notification Schedule allows Administrators to select specific days or dates that Introductions notifications are not sent automatically from the platform. This allows participants to receive Introductions notifications at a time when they are available to action them, improving program participation rates and optimizing the user experience.

Edit Introductions Notification Schedule

  1. In the left navigation menu of your Hub, click Introductions > Schedule

  2. Scroll to Introductions notification schedule and click Set notification schedule

  3. Set specific days of the week

    • Select days of the week to allow notifications from going out on those days

    • De-select days of the week to prevent notifications from going out on those days

  4. Set a dates or ranges of dates, click Add date

    • To add one single date, add a Label and select the date twice > Save

    • To add a range of dates, add a Label and select the start and ed dates of the range > Save

    • To bulk add dates, click Try bulk add options and follow the instructions on the screen

    • Note: Labels are visible to Administrators only

Once you add dates to prevent notifications going out on specific days or dates, the system will automatically queue notifications to be sent on the next available date.

10KC's Best Practices

  • If you are setting a date range for a period of time that's longer than the delay between two Introductions notifications, consider pausing Introductions altogether. Otherwise, the system will queue all notifications and all notifications will be released on the next available date. This will result in multiple notifications going out on the same date.

  • Prevent Introductions notifications from going out on weekends

  • Prevent Introductions notifications from going out on major holidays

  • While customizing the Introductions notifications schedule to optimize when users are receiving notifications, consider that consistency in the user experience is ideal. Members receiving Introductions at the same approximate time every month creates a predictable experience and creates excitement and anticipation leading up to the Introductions date. Due to this, be thoughtful about when you are preventing notifications from going out.
