Steps to Translating your 10KC Hub

Step 1: Understand 10KC translations

Take a moment to understand how 10KC translations work by reading this article: Understanding 10KC translations.

Step 2: Ensure localization is enabled in your Hub

To check if Localization is enabled in your Hub:

  1. Login to your Hub as an Administrator

  2. Click Hub Settings in the left navigation menu

  3. Hub Localization should appear in the left navigation menu

  4. If Hub Localization does not appear, contact your 10KC team or [email protected] to request that Localization be enabled for your Hub for the languages you would like enabled

ℹ️ To view the translated version of a Hub, click the

in the top right corner and select the language you would like to view.

Step 3: Translate Program and Organizational Content

Program and Organization-specific content must be manually translated. Prior to completing this step, we recommend configuring the English versions of:

  • Hub description

  • Profile segments

  • Profile segment descriptions

  • Profile segment values

  • Goals

  • Interests

Once the English configurations are complete, follow these steps to translate the content:

  1. Click Hub Settings > Hub Localization in the left navigation menu of the Hub

  2. Click Upload transactions

  3. Click Download CSV

  4. Complete the Translation file import file

  5. Click Upload translations

  6. Click Close once complete

Step 4: Validate Machine-translated content

Several areas of the Hub are machine-translated. Any customizations to these areas should be validated using the built-in Content Translator capabilities of the Hub.

To use the Content Translator:

  1. Navigate to the configuration you would like to translate

  2. Find the

    where you can click Edit the translations

  3. Select the language you would like to edit in the upper right corner of the Content Translator window

  4. Validate/edit the translation

  5. Click Save changes

Translation Import File Legend

Use this legend to navigate the translation import file:

  • Category: the property to to be translated

    • communityPageVideoUrl: Welcome Page video

    • groupContent: Hub Description

    • goals: goals

    • interests: interests

    • roles: the 'role' profile segment

    • customSegmentTitle: profile segment name

    • customSegmentDescriptions: profile segment descriptions

    • customSegmentOptions: profile segment values

  • Word: the english version of the property

  • es: use this column to add Spanish translations, if applicable

  • fr-CA: use this column to add French translations, if applicable

  • ja: use this column to add Japanese translations, if applicable

  • ko: use this column to add Korean translations, if applicable
