Understanding the Hub Onboarding Experience

In this article, we will take you through the onboarding experience when you accept your invite to a new hub.

❓ What is the Hub Onboarding Experience?

The hub onboarding experience is the onboarding process a new member must go through when accepting their hub invite. This will help populate a member’s details and other important fields that will be used for platform purposes like matching.

✅ Steps

  1. Claim Your Invitation: from your 10KC invite email, click on the Claim Your Invitation button.

  2. Sign-Up: If SSO has been configured for your site, sign up via SSO. Otherwise, sign up with your email. This will take you to the onboarding experience.

  3. Fill Out the Member Details Page: Fill out and/or validate the details on this page.

  4. Fill Out the Features Opt-in Page: Select the 10KC features you’d like to opt into. If you have received an invite to a Development Program, you can accept your invite on this page by selecting Accept Invite under Development Programs.

  5. Fill out the Interests Page: Select your Interests from the list provided. Your Interests are part of the criteria used for matching purposes.

  6. Fill out the Goals Page: Select your Goals from the list provided. For every goal, you can determine if you Want to Learn More, Offer Knowledge, or Both. We recommend starting with up to 3 goals. Your Goals are part of the criteria used for matching purposes.

  7. Complete Your Profile: You will now be directed to your hub. Select the Complete my Profile button to complete your profile in more detail. After that’s complete, you can begin exploring the hub!

  • Fill out the information in the onboarding experience in as much detail as possible! This will help others get to know you better and provide you with the most purposeful matches.

  • Have any updates to make after you’ve completed your onboarding experience? Not to worry! After completing the onboarding experience, you can still make updates to your profile and updates to your goals and interests.
