In this article, we will show you how to preview the onboarding experience that members will go through when claiming their 10KC profile.
How do I preview the hub onboarding experience for a member?
Navigate to your 10KC Hub
On the left hand side, select Members
Navigate to the URL bar in your internet browser; you will need the subdomain and the characters after "group="
Note those characters and copy them onto your clipboard
Create the URL you need by copying the below URL. http://ADDURL.tenthousandcoffees.com/get-started/hub-segments?preregistrationGroupId=ADDGROUPID
Replace "ADDURL" with the subdomain (Ex. 10kcconnects), and replace "ADDGROUPID" with the group character (Ex. 5c420f7d9704ee0008bf5d68).
You are now previewing the hub onboarding experience
Considerations
If your Program includes Development Programs but the Program isn't launched yet and members aren't invited, you will not see the full Development Program experience
Specifically, the Development Program name and description will not appear, nor will mentee capacity or role confirmation
The preview will show your current selections based on your user profile
Any changes you make will be saved to your user profile
Why should I use this?
There are a few scenarios in which it's helpful to be able to preview the hub onboarding experience:
You're setting up your new Hub and you want to see what users will see when they claim their profile
You're revamping your Hub and you want to test the changes that you're enabling in your live site
You want to share this URL/tactic with members so they can re-populate the key fields on their user profile
You want to update your own profile fields
