What is a snapshot?
A snapshot is a copy of tenant configuration and data (including all hubs) which can be stored or restored for demo purposes. Snapshot includes tenant settings, hub settings (including membership configurations like roles, segments etc., localization, welcome page), dummy data for introductions, office hours, development programs, members and much more.
❗️When you use a Snapshot, the URL of the site you are using will automatically override the tenant URL of the site you are applying the snapshot to.
How to store (save) a snapshot?
If you have configured a tenant (and its hubs) in a particular way and have added dummy data that you'd like to reuse in future (in a different tenant or another time in the same tenant), you can save the config and data as a snapshot. Please follow the below steps to save a snapshot:
Login to your existing tenant e.g. I logged into my test tenant leo.10kbeans.com and click on Admin on top-right to access Tenant Settings
Click on Manage snapshots in the settings menu
Enter the name that you'd like to use for your snapshot and click on Store
This snapshot can now be restored in another tenant (or later on in the same tenant)
Note: ability to store a snapshot is available in all 10kbeans and tenthousandcoffees tenants
How to restore a snapshot?
Please follow the below steps to restore the [OFFICIAL] 10KC DEMO snapshot.

FAQs
Q. Can I store a snapshot in a 10kbeans site and add it to a production site?
A. No, while a snapshot can be stored in 10kbeans or production (tenthousandcoffees) site, it can be restored only in 10kbeans site. We don't allow snapshots to be restored in production sites to prevent accidental wipeouts.
Q. If I restore a snapshot and make changed to my tenant, would it impact the snapshot?
A. You can make any changes to the tenant after you have restored the snapshot. It would not impact the snapshot itself.
Q. Who can I reach out to if I'm having issues storing or restoring snapshots?
A. Please create a issue request in #product-support on Slack (with high priority if it's urgent) and someone from the product team will help resolve the issue.
