👤 This article is for Hub Administrators, Development Program Managers, or Development Program Administrators.
In this article, we will explain the difference between hub invites and development program invites and when each should be used.
❓What are Hub Invites?
Hub invites are invites that are sent to invite members to join the hub. These are sent to new hub members and will typically be sent at the launch of a new hub, or if you’re inviting new members to the hub. Members will be sent a platform invitation email and will be prompted to complete the member onboarding experience in order to join the hub.
❓What are Development Program Invites?
Development program invites are sent to invite members to join a new Development Program. These are sent to existing members who are already a part of the hub. Members will receive an invite email that is specific to the Development Program. This email can be configured as you’re configuring your Development Program.
❓Can members opt into a Development Program in a hub invite?
If you’re launching a new Development Program with your new hub, you can also include a Development Program opt-in in the member onboarding experience.
✅ Steps:
Make sure your Development Program is configured, published, and participants are added.
Once complete, send out your hub invites as usual to your new hub members.
Under ‘Development Programs’ in the ‘How would you like to participate’ section of the onboarding experience, members will be able to click the Accept Invite button to accept their invite in to the Development Program alongside creating their profile for the new hub.
Important Note: make sure you have your participants added before sending out the hub invite, or the Development Program opt-in will not appear during the onboarding experience.
⭐️ Best Practices
Hub invites should be sent to new members who are not currently members of the hub. Development Program Invites should be sent to existing members of the hub who you would like to join your new Development Program.
